Alexander J. Mihalov

Alex joined Perkins Thompson in 2024 as an associate in the firm’s Creditors’ Rights & Bankruptcy and Litigation practice groups. He represents financial institutions, businesses, and individuals in a range of civil matters, with a focus on creditor-side collections, landlord-tenant disputes, and general commercial litigation.

Prior to joining the firm, Alex regularly appeared in state courts throughout Maine, advocating for clients in collection actions, forcible entry and detainer proceedings, and other civil disputes. He brings a practical, results-driven approach to resolving legal issues efficiently and effectively. 

Alex earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Maine School of Law, where he also received a Certificate in Environmental and Oceans Law. While in law school, Alex served as Chair of the Maine Association for Public Interest Law, President of the Environmental & Energy Law Society, and President of the Maine Law Basketball Association, reflecting both his commitment to public service and his leadership within the student community. 

Outside of work, Alex enjoys making the most of Maine’s outdoors—whether it’s golfing, skiing, or exploring the coast. He’s also an avid traveler, fitness enthusiast, and cultivator of an ever-growing houseplant collection.
