Perkins Thompson is pleased to welcome Andrew D. Hersom as an associate in the Firm’s Government Services, Land Use & Environmental Law, and Real Estate Law practice groups. Drew graduated magna cum laude from the University of Maine School of Law in 2023 with a Juris Doctor and a Certificate in Environmental & Oceans Law. While at Maine Law, Drew was a member of the Environmental & Energy Law Society (EELS) and served as a Managing Editor of the Maine Law Review. In his third year, his law review article about the viability of nuisance claims against grid-scale wind energy facilities in Maine was selected for publication.
Prior to joining Perkins Thompson, Drew interned in a municipal government’s land use and planning department and at a regional environmental non-profit and uses the insights he gained in those positions to better help clients achieve their objectives.
