Dave McConnell and Dawn Harmon will be presenters at “HR as a Data Breach Target: In the Bullseye” on Tuesday, May 8th, 2018 from 2:30 pm – 3:45 pm at the Samoset resort in Rockport.
According to the Maine HR Convention, “Over 90% of cyber-attacks stem from information provided by employees about their organizations! HR departments in Maine have been targeted by thieves seeking to steal employee information. This program aims directly at HR management. How do we prevent employee caused data breaches and how do we plan and implement a legal response to a data breach – inadvertent or otherwise? David McConnell of Perkins Thompson, P.A. and Jane Carpenter of Maine Identity Services, LLC have helped organizations respond to such data breaches. At the Samoset, they will help you avoid common employee mistakes that may cause a breach, and in the event of one, plan for the legal aspects of a breach. The focus will be twofold – looking at people and processes. Discover the specific information desired by thieves, the best practices to protect against a breach, the protocols once a breach occurs… and the $7 piece of equipment that can eliminate most data breaches.”
Register for the Maine HR Convention and this event.
