Bill has represented a wide range of businesses and individuals in Maine for over thirty years, including companies owning over 2,000 residential and commercial real estate units, retailers, non-profit corporations, security monitoring companies, real estate agencies, medical and other professionals, and many others. Bill regularly assists his clients in real estate and business acquisitions and sales as well as obtaining commercial financing, leasing, forming limited liability companies and corporations, and also advises and provides solutions to his clients with respect to their everyday business, transactional and litigation needs. Bill has substantial litigation and bankruptcy court experience which has proved invaluable in advising business and real estate clients on assessing future issues that may arise.
Bill received his A.B. degree, cum laude, from Colby College and his J.D. degree, with honors, from the University of Wisconsin. He is admitted to practice in State and Federal court in Maine and Connecticut as well as the First Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court. Until 2021 he was the longest-standing board member of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Portland and was a two-time past president. Bill is a long-time skier, bike rider, swimmer, and aspiring golfer who lives with his family in Falmouth, Maine.
