Nona E. Gillis

ABOUT Nona

Nona joined Perkins Thompson in 2023 as an associate in the firm’s Trust and Estate Practice Group, where she assists clients in estate planning and in various trust and estate matters. Nona came to the firm from a local bank, where she served as a fiduciary officer, ensuring proper trust and estate administration and delivering appropriate financial solutions to clients. Nona works diligently to organize clients’ plans in a manner that reflects their goals and needs.

Nona graduated cum laude from the University of Maine School of Law. She was the recipient of the 2018 Diana DeJesus Student Bar Association Distinguished Service Award for her work on behalf of the student body and her superior service to the Law School community. During her time at Maine Law, Nona served as a Staff Editor on the Ocean and Coastal Law Journal, Vice President of the Student Bar Association, and Treasurer of the Women’s Law Association.

When Nona is not working, she enjoys embracing both the summers and the winters in Maine, whether that’s skiing at Sugarloaf Mountain or boating around Casco Bay. Nona’s other interests include traveling, reading, painting, and spending time with her cat Miles.
